First Names Group is proud to announce that we’ve enjoyed another successful year at the 2018 Citywealth Brand Management and Reputation Awards, claiming the Gold award for ‘Employee Engagement Initiative of the Year’ at last night’s ceremony in London.
For the third year in a row (every year since the awards launched!), we have been recognised for our annual charity Christmas video. The First Names Group Christmas video started life in 2014 as a bit of fun on the part of our Jersey directors, but has since become a firmly established annual tradition in aid of Worldwide Cancer Research.
For our 2017 video, we wanted to go all out and be even braver than we’d been before. We also decided to expand participation beyond our directors to include ‘First Names’ across all levels of the organisation.
We made the decision to move away from our previous musical approach and set about producing our own take on the TV phenomenon that is the Great British Bake Off. We found the perfect venue, cast four of our directors as the judges, and set up the tent for 20 First Names from throughout our jurisdictions to come together and put their baking skills to the test.
The result: a 7:40 mini episode of the popular show, First Names Group style. Not only does the video visibly demonstrate employee engagement, we’re proud to say our First Names really threw themselves into the experience and were integral in driving engagement on social media once the campaign launched.
All in all, the video achieved over 40,000 views, fantastic social engagement, hugely positive feedback and, most importantly, it raised over £5,400 (including Gift Aid) for our cause – shattering our previous Christmas video fundraising record.
