First Names Group enter the Super League ‘Corporate Mix’ Cup

17 August 2017

We are bringing together some of our First Names from across the Group to enter the first ever Super League Triathlon ‘Corporate Mix’ Cup taking place in Jersey during the weekend of 23 – 24 September.

The Super League Triathlon will see 50 of the world’s leading triathletes, including 25 Olympians, complete in the event over two days in Jersey also features a corporate triathlon event which takes place on the same course the professional athletes will be using.

The ‘Corporate Mix’ Cup will allow companies to compete against each other, with the scores being a total of their teams’ sponsored pro athletes and their own team relays.

We will be bringing together 12 of our First Names from across our jurisdictions to compete in the ‘Corporate Mix’ Cup which will see each team member cover one of the three triathlon disciplines in a relay format.

As part of First Names Group’s corporate partnership, we will also be sponsoring two of the professional athletes taking part. From the men’s line-up we have Richard Varga who holds the world’s fastest swim time in an Olympic triathlon and the current women’s American World Triathlon Series leader Katie Zafares.

Super League showcases triathletes and the sport in a new and exciting way. Unlike the traditional triathlon format, athletes won’t be able to rely on specialising in one of the three disciplines. The Super League ‘Triple Mix’ format tests the versatility and adaptability of the athletes by mixing up the traditional swim-bike-run sequence.

The men’s line-up will include Jonny Brownlee, and his rivals Javier Gomez Noya and Mario Mola Diaz from Spain, and Richard Murray from South Africa, as well as 20 other leading male triathletes.

The women’s race will see leading Brits including Vicky Holland, Jodie Stimpson, Lucy Hall and Non Stanford taking on three-times Olympian Flora Duffy from Bermuda and Olympic bronze medallist Erin Densham from Australia.

Super League Triathlon co-founder and Managing Director, Michael Dhulst, commented:

“‘Corporate Mix’ partners will gain access to the world’s greatest triathletes, including the Brownlee brothers, and will enjoy unique corporate hospitality opportunities for their clients. Corporates will be able to race in their own teams with two of the world’s best triathletes, with corporate branding on the front of the race uniforms.”

Andy Ruddy, Financial Director in our Jersey office, added:

"It is fantastic that the world’s best triathletes are coming to Jersey to compete in an event of this calibre. First Names Group are thrilled to partner the highest profile event the Island has ever hosted and look forward to giving some of our ‘First Names’ the opportunity to compete in the Super League ‘Corporate Mix’ Cup which will be an incredible experience for all involved."
