First Names Group is delighted to announce that Michelle Gale, a manager in our Isle of Man office, has been named as one of eprivateclient’s ‘Top 35 Under 35’ for 2018.
The Top 35 listing is designed to identify, recognise and promote the rising stars of the private client practitioner community throughout the UK and Crown Dependencies.
Rising star Michelle was quick to make her mark at First Names Group; a consistent trend in her career to date. Michelle joined the industry in 2006 as a bookkeeper at Walbrook Trustees. While there, she developed her accounting skills and progressed to senior client accountant within just five years. When Walbrook was acquired by Barclays Wealth, Michelle played an integral role in transitioning clients between systems and ensuring a smooth changeover. She also completed her Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams while working full-time.
Since joining the Group as an assistant manager in June 2014, Michelle has enjoyed further progression and been intrinsically involved in a number of successful – and often complex – acquisitions, sales and financial restructurings for her clients. Capable of working effectively across time zones and under intense time pressure, she never hesitates to go the extra mile to deliver excellence.
Michelle has built long-lasting and rewarding relationships with her clients, working with several for over a decade. Clients, old and new alike, know her to be conscientious, responsive and able to offer intelligent solutions to challenging situations. Among her colleagues, Michelle is valued for her willingness to help others and has proven to be an excellent team leader and mentor.
In achieving this recognition, Michelle joins fellow ‘First Names’ Paul Rondel, James Russell, Paula Thompson, Robin McCauley and Stuart Dowding who have all been named in eprivateclient’s Top 35 in previous years, as well as Sam Le Brun, Rhuaridh Watts, Laura Kyle, Ryan Crawford and Andrew Heard who featured in the inaugural Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35 earlier this year.
Michelle will meet and celebrate with her fellow 2018 list members at a champagne reception in London on Thursday 27 September.
