Quick-fire Q&A with First Name Jade McKain

To give you a good flavour of what life as a First Name is like, we've asked a handful of our bright young administrators to tell us about their role and life in general. First up... Jade!

When did you join First Names Group? November 2013

What made you choose First Names Group? They chose me :) – I was part of the Basel acquisition in 2013.

What is the best thing about your job? My team; they’re awesome.

What makes First Names Group such a special place to work? The people and the fact the atmosphere throughout the office is good every day.

What professional qualifications are you doing? I am currently working towards achieving the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time? Using my STEP Diploma and expanding my knowledge!

What do you do to unwind? I don’t unwind very often, I’m always on the go, so when I do it’s when I’m on holiday lying by the pool with a cocktail in the sunshine.

What’s the First Names Group social scene like? The social scene is very good here. I am on the Social Committee, meaning I'm part of the team that organises our social events, which range from pub quiz nights to cocktail-making; beach BBQs to glitzy Christmas parties. No matter what, they're always fun nights out with great people. We're also a really sporty office; we put teams forward for the annual marathon relay and dragon boat race as well as the corporate leagues including rugby, softball and hockey.

What did you want to be when you were 10? I can’t actually remember, but knowing me it will have been something unrealistic!

How did you celebrate your degree result? I didn’t, I helped my friends celebrate theirs, as I had decided to enter the world of work right I after I left secondary school.

What’s your favourite possession? My passport; it enables me to be able to travel to all the amazing places I do.

Favourite drink? Espresso Martini

Night on the town or on the sofa? Obviously a night out on the town!
