Two ‘First Names’ listed in Citywealth’s 2015 Power Women Top 200

The end of December saw the announcement of the 2015 Citywealth IFC Power Women Top 200 list, and we are pleased to announce that two senior ‘First Names’ have made the grade. Julie Coward, Jersey Chair, and Lorraine Wheeler, Client Services Director, who are both based in the Group’s Jersey office, have been recognised.

The 2015 list focuses on influencers as well as professionals and celebrates powerful women from diverse backgrounds. It recognises women of achievement who are trailblazers in their field, helping to promote business excellence in their home jurisdictions and consolidating the reputations of the financial services industry globally.

Formerly CEO of international trust business Basel Group, Julie joined First Names Group following its acquisition of Basel in 2013 and has over 30 years’ experience in the banking and trust arenas. Julie is actively involved in the ongoing professional development of the industry; a past president of the Jersey Association of Trust Companies (JATCo), she is an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB).

Lorraine has worked in the fiduciary sector for 30 years, gaining experience in the UK, Bermuda, Switzerland and Jersey. She is currently Chair of STEP Jersey and Vice President of JATCo, and was recently awarded the prestigious STEP Founder’s Award for Outstanding Achievement. Well recognised for her trust and fiduciary expertise, Lorraine is regularly invited to take part in or chair panel discussions at industry conferences and seminars.
