A corporate tax professional with over 30 years of experience, Gene is always mindful that clients come first. He has been an inspirational voice in the Temmes acquisition because his clients have complete trust in him to do the right thing. He believes that when someone gives you something, you should give something back. He is committed to using his technical, financial and administrative abilities to help companies in the US and Canada achieve their objectives.

Gene graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA in Accountancy from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business – one of the top-rated Business Schools in the world. Having started his career at two international public accounting firms, he was quickly promoted to a partner in tax and in 1989 he received the Outstanding Alumni Award from Moore School’s Honorary Accounting Society. He also served as vice president – Tax for a Fortune 500 multinational automobile supplier. Gene has many affiliations – being the past president of the Tax Executives Institute, Carolinas Chapter, is one of them.

Even outside of work, he takes an active role in the community and, for example, is a Board Member of Samaritan House. Samaritan House provides recuperative care for homeless men and women in need of short-term care following a hospital or emergency room stay, encapsulating the values of love, dignity, respect and welcoming inclusion.
