Karen Walsh loves the variety of her role as a Client Manager. She takes pride in her work and thrives on making things happen. Her organisational and communication skills are invaluable in preparing accounts, liaising with clients and setting up companies. Every day is different, and there’s lots to learn. With a ready smile Karen is up for the challenge.
Don’t worry, be happy.
With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from NUI Galway under her belt, Karen began her career in accountancy in 2004. She obtained a training contract and achieved a Certified Public Accountant qualification before coming to First Names Group in 2011. Six months later, seconded to the corporate finance team from the trust accounting side for what was meant to be a few months, she was offered a permanent position and has never looked back.
IN THREE WORDS:
Everyone that meets her is impressed with Karen’s warm personality and her sense of calm as she puts her head down and works hard. She enjoys working with an array of different people, and really values the variety of skills and attributes that they bring to the team. Colleagues like Caroline O’Sullivan are friendly and helpful, always contributing to the spirit of the team.
Karen’s travel ambitions include no less than three continents, with trekking the Inca trail at the top of her list. Australia, New Zealand and Croatia also feature - the perfect destinations for someone as active as she is. An ideal holiday would include walking and cycling, followed by chilling out with family and friends, perhaps over a nice Thai curry. And if someone could persuade Barack Obama to make an appearance, Karen would love to sit down to dinner with him!
