Mike Nolan is a numbers man so is well suited to his role as a Manager responsible for client accounts in the Trust and Corporate Department of First Names Group in the Isle of Man. He puts his organisational and analytical skills to good use making sure that accounts and tax returns are always completed accurately and within the required deadlines.
Nothing is impossible, even the word itself says ‘I’m possible’
Recognising his passion for accounting from the beginning, Mike has built up his knowledge since his school days. He studied accounting at Waterford Institute of Technology for three years before joining an accountancy practice and becoming a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. This experience combined with hard work means that Mike is a match for even the most complex accounting problem.
IN THREE WORDS:
Mike commutes from his home in Ireland to the office in the Isle of Man. He is equally at home in either environment – getting the best out of both. Mike is grateful to Gary Hepburn for giving him the opportunity, saying that Gary is a great mentor always willing to help others and offers sound advice. He also particularly rates Mark Lewin, who has taught him so much during the last 12 years.
As a youngster Mike’s competitive strength saw him working towards his childhood ambition to become a professional snooker player. He represented Ireland as a member of the under 17 squad and beat the English champion. Now during the weekend daytime hours he enjoys being outside, either cycling or watching hurling. In the evening he loves to socialise with friends, often in his local Ennis pubs.
