Oonagh Hayes is Chairperson of First Names Group Ireland. For over two decades, her career has centred around managed services, and she sits on several client boards and acts as company secretary for a number of client companies.
Oonagh brings a combination of intellectual maturity and Irish congeniality to the Ireland business; she has dignity, a quiet sense of integrity and a deep-rooted commitment to her clients.
Our business is first, second and third about the relationships we have with our clients.
Oonagh has the diverse but complementary qualities of discipline and imagination. She initially trained as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst and Young, where the focus was on planning for the future. As her career developed, she absorbed the client-centric approach so evident today. And during her time with one of the industry's leading banks, she learnt to be nimble, flexible and innovative. This valuable experience serves her well in her current role, and she brings entrepreneurial flair and energy to all that she does.
IN THREE WORDS:
Corporate culture is important to Oonagh and she thrives on the business buzz of First Names Group. She really connects with her team, and respects the professionalism and dedication, which they bring to the company.
Oonagh enjoys everything from golf and landscape gardening, to cooking and collecting antique furniture. After a busy week, family time in the country is a favourite retreat - or she unwinds at home on the beautiful West Coast of Ireland. Oonagh says "form is temporary, class is permanent" and in her opinion Irish singer, Jack L is a class act.
