Sharon Hannigan is a Manager in Trust and Corporate at First Names Group in the Isle of Man.
Responsible for managing a team of five administrators, Sharon oversees their work whilst tackling any complex matters that come her way. Her number one priority is to always ensure that her team is motivated and happy. A stickler for detail, she loves getting involved in all aspects of the business and specifically seeks further ways in which the expertise within the Group can be of service to her clients.
If you think you can do something,
you almost certainly can.
Sharon has been involved in the trust industry for over 19 years, acquiring experience whilst gaining excellent technical knowledge with a Certificate in Offshore Administration from the Isle of Man College, a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualification and an Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration. And she hasn’t stopped yet – she is currently working on the STEP Advanced Certificate in UK Tax for International Clients. Her ability to apply all this knowledge appropriately is being put to good use since joining the Group in 2013.
IN THREE WORDS:
Highly motivated, Sharon always looks on the bright side of life. Naturally sociable she loves her role and thrives on getting the job done. Sharon particularly enjoys working with her namesake Sharon Dunn who is straight talking but supportive and Irene Morrison who is a fount of knowledge and is always a ‘go-to’ person.
FIRST HOLIDAY ABROAD: TENERIFE AS A TEENAGER – RETURNED THREE YEARS IN A ROW BEFORE DISCOVERING OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD
At weekends, a lot of Sharon’s time is taken up taxiing her two young, active and talented daughters around the island. Whilst she delights in doing so, it really makes her appreciate her own parents who had four children to contend with. Downtime is an opportunity to indulge her passion for reading, listening to music and meeting with friends to catch up on the week’s happenings and relax.
