As a Client Services Director for our Private Client department in the Isle of Man, Stuart is a key member of our real estate team. Focused and driven to succeed, Stuart always delivers a first-class service to his clients. He enjoys meeting clients’ requirements, as no two circumstances are the same, and they evolve over time. His mantra is always: embrace change, or be left behind.
It's often what is not said that is heard the loudest.
Stuart’s started in the fiduciary sector in 1988, and over the course of his career he has held various senior roles, most recently as a director of a trust company owned by a leading Isle of Man legal and professional services firm. Previously he has been a director of an Isle of Man regulated trust company owned by a UK listed bank and has also held a number of fiduciary roles for a private bank working in the Channel Islands, the Cayman Islands and the Isle of Man. Stuart is an associate of the Institute of Bankers (ACIB), a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (MCSI) and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
IN THREE WORDS:
Stuart has worked with a number of inspiring colleagues throughout his career and endeavoured to pick up their best attributes. Of his current colleagues, Stuart enjoys working with Chris Bolt who is “client-focused and to the point”. He also respects Stephen Edmonds who “quietly and efficiently gets on with the task at hand”.
Rugby Union is one of Stuart’s favourite pastimes and passions. One of his happiest moments was when Scotland beat England at Murrayfield; now he’s dreaming of the day when Scotland thrashes New Zealand for the first time. A big fan of walking, Stuart once had to go to A&E to have his sock surgically removed when it fused to his foot following an 85-mile walk! When he does relax, he likes listening to Eric Clapton.
