Last week a team of senior ‘First Names’ came together from our Hong Kong and Singapore offices to attend the Asian Wealth Management Forum 2017 at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Hong Kong.
The full-day conference attracted nearly 300 delegates and offered a jam-packed programme featuring experts from throughout the wealth management sector in Asia – including our very own Karen O’Hanlon, Managing Director of our Singapore office.
Following the welcome address and an interesting panel discussion on delivering value to clients, Karen took to the stage for a Q&A session on a current hot topic in Asia: alternative assets. She answered questions around the latest trends in alternative asset investment, the opportunities presented by planning with alternative assets, as well as the key misconceptions and challenges.
One key point was the fact that clients can structure their prized alternative assets while still being able enjoy them – whether that means showing their art collection in galleries around the world or displaying it in their own home, or flying their plane, cruising in their yacht or racing their horses!

Karen will be publishing some of the insights and thoughts she shared in her Q&A session on LinkedIn in the coming weeks, so why not connect with Karen and follow her updates.
