First Names Group attends the China Business Conference

Grant Twine and Steve Clarke from our eBusiness team were amongst the 500 delegates who attended the China Business Conference 2014 on Tuesday 14 January at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London

The Conference was hosted by the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), the leading organisation to help UK companies grow and develop their business within China through building connections with the government and businesses.

The event, opened by Lord Sassoon Kt, Chairman of the CBBC was attended by a number of Jersey businesses including inward investment agency Locate Jersey which sponsored the conference lunch. The conference programme included presentations on China in Transformation, Opportunities for Britain, China’s consumers, China's industrial transformation, and China Outbound. Speakers at the event included HE Liu Xiaoming, Chinese Ambassador to the UK, The Rt Hon Hugo Swire MP, Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as well as leading figures representing a diverse range of industry sectors.
