Christos Michael is Managing Director of First Names Group in Cyprus.
He brings a steady hand to the tiller and understands just how vital a structured operational platform is when laying the foundations for growth. Hard facts handled with soft skills best sum up his approach to leadership - and he always thinks before he speaks. In fact, Christos is well known for his impeccable manners, which are appreciated by clients and colleagues alike.
With effort, you can dare to be the best.
For Christos, developing future leaders is the most rewarding part of his job. Sharing his experience and helping junior staff map out their careers is what it's all about, and he knows it can make the difference between them giving up or going on. This is just one of the reasons why Christos is so proud to be part of the first fiduciary company in Cyprus to be accredited with the Investors in People Award.
Like many Cypriots, Christos received his tertiary education abroad, benefiting from both book and life experience. He completed his Masters in accounting and international finance, before training back at home as a Chartered Certified Accountant with Price Waterhouse.
IN THREE WORDS:
Community service is high on the agenda for Christos. He was a key figure in the establishment of the Cyprus Fiduciary Association and participated in the consultation process for the formulation of Cyprus fiduciary regulation.
Children are exceptional imitators, and Christos' boys have certainly inherited his determination to attempt the impossible - and achieve it. Last summer, they won top medals at the National and European Mathematical Olympiad and Christos couldn't be more proud. He has a joyful enthusiasm for everything that he does, from spending time at home with his family and learning chess from his son to facing a brand new day in the office.
